- The Brasserie is an à la carte restaurant; part of the MHSHost group. It is located at a quiet corner of the food court on the first floor of the transfer area.
The Brasserie servers many international dishes. The food is made from pure, fresh, regional Dutch products like large mushrooms grown in the caves of Limburg, mustard from the Zaan region and bread from an organic bakery.
Your food is on your table under 30 minutes guaranteed.
The menu changes each season.
The kitchen is open daily from 6AM until 9PM.
Favorite Dish: Penne Chicken Pasta dish.
McDonald's: The BIG M
Schiphol's McDonald's is a little hidden at the first floor at Lounge 2 in the transfer area foodcourt at Vertrekpassage 278
Outside the airport is the popular SCHIPHOL Noord at the Loevesteinse Randweg 230 (follow long parking signs from the A9 highway exit 6) near one of the runways. The terrace is a great plane spotting place.
Favorite Dish: A chicken salad
Starbucks: Starbucks
Well, what can I say about Starbucks? This 'restaurant' serves coffee all over the world. Some people can't live without them.
Favorite Dish: While I was here, I had a Grande Frappuccino Caramel. Never had it before, but liked it very much!!
The price for it was € 5.40.
Starbucks: Coffee all day around
Starbucks at Schiphol is one of the first Starbucks coffee shops in the Netherlands.
In fact there are two at the Schiphol Plaza. One smaller shop with limited seating and 24/7 service close to the main gateway to/from the terminal building. The second one is at the exit to East and has a lounge with some nice benches and comfortable chairs.
Favorite Dish: Blueberry muffin.
The Cone Bar: Juices and wines
The Cone Bar is located in the Tranfer Area Lounge 2. The seats are close to the platform windows offering a great view of the activities around the planes.
The bar also offers seafood on the menu.
Open 24/7
Shirasagi Sushi Bar: Sushi
The Shirasagi Sushi Bar is located on the ground floor in the transfer area lounge 2 at the platform windows.

Street Vendor Cars: Famous Zakje Patat
No, these are not street vendors, though they sell their food just along the road.
When there are special events you will find these cars somewhere around ...
(could be at pop-concerts, traditional culture events, market)
Ofcourse it is not health food, nor is it a coffee house.
You may take a salad, or a cup of coffee, that is possible ...
;o)))
Favorite Dish: Just a snack, fast food, and the junk stuff heeheehhh
Well, the Dutch "zakje patat" got famous which are the deep-fried potatoes (about 1.50 Euro, with mayonnaise or peanut butter sauce about 2.00 Euro)
A coca cola is 2.00 Euro, and a cup of coffee 1.50 Euro ...
LA PLACE: Bridge Restaurant Along Highway
On the way to Amsterdam from The Hague you will pass, no ... you will drive under the highway restaurant La Place, where you may find different restaurants.
Kentucky Fried Chicken, MacDonalds are the regular ones, and when taking the escalator there are some more restaurants where you can sit and enjoy the traffic from safe place.
The food is ok, not that culinary hits ...
Favorite Dish: I once had a pancake and did not like it. Mostly we just stop here to get a cup of coffee and enjoy the traffics. I do prefer the Kentucky Fried Chicken for some chicken legs, or get me a hamburger with MacDonalds. Yep, the real junk food, sorry ...
De Oude Toren: The Old Control Tower
This restaurant is located in the control tower of the old Schiphol airport.
2007 update: After a closure of some months the place was converted into an Asian Restaurant called "Boeddha" and opened in November 2006.
Kantons-, Szechuan- & Shanghai kitchen menu's.
From the Sky bar you have a great view on the new Schiphol.
The Snack Bar (nick name the shack): Good food - nice people & cheap
Staying in the Schiphol area does have some down falls, places to eat is one of them.
If you are a frequent traveler hotel food gets old fast, and the Golden Arches don’t cut it either. Airport food is OK, but it sure isn’t home cooking. What ‘the shack’ lacks in décor it more than makes up in quality of food and service.
It’s a true Mom & Pop owned restaurant, Mom cooks and dad serves. The only bad thing is they are only open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. Closing at 7:30pm
Favorite Dish: I’ve tried most everything on the menu, and haven’t found anything bad, however if you aren’t sure what you want, I would suggest the Mix Grill.
The also offer something you don’t see that often… ‘to go’.
Dakota's Café & Bar: The staff is an extra surprise.
Nice area in Dakota's style at the top floor of Schiphol airport. They serve food & drinks all day. There is a big menu with local and international food items. The waitresses and waiters are the best on the airport.
Favorite Dish: "kroketten brood" it's something typical Dutch.
Don't burn your mouth the first time.
Burger King: Burger King
Before you depart to your destination, you can have a 'decent' meal by Burger King. You can have pretty much the same meals every where.
